Barbara Ann Doolan, 28, will be back before court on August 4 when an application will be considered for her legal representatives to call witnesses.
The case dates back to the day her infant son was found face down in a bath on Thursday, July 28, 2005.
Doolan, of no fixed address, was represented by Public Defender Eric Wilson who told magistrate Thomas Hodgson he had only just taken over the case and had yet to conference with Doolan who has been in custody since her arrest in Canberra a few months ago.
After her arrest, Doolan appeared briefly in the ACT Magistrate’s Court where she was ordered to appear in Queanbeyan court for an extradition hearing to bring her back to Bathurst to answer the murder charge.
Bathurst police were called to a Rocket Street, Bathurst, house on July 28, 2005, after a child had been treated by ambulance.
The child was taken to Bathurst Base Hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.
