Corporate Accountant

Excellent opportunity for a Corporate Accountant on a FTC until June 2023 who will provide assistance to the Corporate Reporting Manager in order to achieve management accounting and financial reporting support to the Metcash Corporate Finance Team.  In addition, safeguard integrity and ensure efficient production of periodical reporting.

What you’ll do

• Control of the Corporate Finance ledgers and related D365 modules
• Production of the monthly Corporate Finance cost centres and overseeing posting of standing journals and cost allocation across numerous business pillar cost centres
• Analysis of the Corporate Finance cost centre expenses versus budget, most recent forecast and last year and distribution of reports to managers and providing analysis assist with expense management
• Preparation of significant account reconciliations and review of all other reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Assist in the management and preparation of statutory accounts for the Metcash Group of companies

What you’ll bring

• Degree Qualified / CPA or CA Member
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role (FMCG experience would be an advantage)
• Strong technical knowledge (AASB) and analytical abilities
• SAP and other large accounting systems preferred
