Planning Purchasing Coordinator

• $30-$35 per hour rate

They are part of a larger network of trained specialists who can offer custom solutions for any different type of structural pole. Our client understands that plans and schedules change; they add value by utilising their global networks to provide different products and services to suit their clients needs.

Job Description

• Action daily/weekly MRP system driven purchasing requirements for all raw materials in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Manage consumables stock level and organise purchasing.
• Monitor purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to ensure accurate arrival times in system. Notify relevant parties of any forecast delays and quality issue.
• Support manufacturing and logistics teams to maintain adequate controls for accurate receipting, counting and issuing of materials. Communicate short shipments/faulty stock with suppliers and follow up on resolutions.
• Assist QA to obtain material certificates for compliance purpose.
• Source new suppliers. Build and grow relationships with internal/external stakeholders, suppliers and service providers.
• Maintaining OS order tracking report, ensuring all PO details are registered and new shipments added accordingly. Prepare weekly shipment report.
• Identify interstate demand and arrange orders.
• Analyse purchasing discrepancy and production variances and ensure these are correct and accurate at all times.

The Successful Applicant

• Well-developed safety awareness and orientation to process
• Understanding of the planning processes in a manufacturing environment
• Understanding of key supplier relationships
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
• Experience in using and ERP/MRP system.
• Proficient computer skills in MS Office programs particularly Excel, coupled with effective report writing
