A 17-YEAR-OLD Kelso boy was trapped in his car for around 40 minutes after hitting a power pole on Saturday night.

The accident occurred at around 11pm in Rocket Street, near the intersection of Peel Street.
The boy was driving a silver Mazda. As a result of the collision, powerlines dislodged from the pole.
Police - including police rescue - Fire and Rescue NSW and paramedics attended the scene.
After being extracted from the car, the boy was transported to Orange hospital with suspected breaks to his pelvis and femur.
