The fundraising ball, with a Winter Wonderland theme, will be held on August 11 at The Carrington Function Centre and Theatre.
Manager Jody Pearce said though the theme is in line with the seasonal chill, the event had received a warm reception.
“The whole night is being made possible through the generosity of the Bathurst community,” Ms Pearce said. “We’ve got lots of people volunteering their time on the night – the chefs are donating their time for free, as are the wait staff.
“The food has been sourced from Bathurst businesses and The Carrington is donating the venue.”
Veritas House provides accommodation and support to vulnerable children, young people and their families in the Bathurst area.
Ms Pearce said the ball would mark that milestone while raising much-needed funds for the organisation’s programs and services.
“Veritas House is a vibrant, community-based, not-for-profit organisation that has provided support for thousands of people in Bathurst in crisis,” she said. “We’ve been in the community for 30 years and we’ve grown a lot in that time.
“The board discussed how we would celebrate the milestone and thought this was very appropriate. It’s open to anyone that wants to support the work we do.”
The evening will showcase Veritas House programs and include a charity auction and entertainment provided by Tony Robinson and Friends. Tickets, at $70, can be purchased from DJ Weekes and Co.
