The first call out came at 7pm, when firefighters were called to a car fire outside a property in Rankin Street.
Crews reported the soft-top roof of a convertible had been slashed and a fire was burning in the passenger foot-well of the car.
The blaze destroyed the car’s dash area and passenger side door.
The second car fire, just after 9.30pm in Morrow Place at Robin Hill, was extinguished by firefighters.
Chifley Local Area Command could not be contacted for comment at time of going to print.
