His 42 points were good enough to win Saturday’s Stableford event and it represented his best ever score off the stick of one over par.
He also took the pro-pin jackpot loot to top it all off!
Ben Hobbs posted 38 points for second and Darrell Bourke was a further shot back in third. Darryn Bruce (32) assumed the position to win the scratch.
Brian Morgan once again showed his style and class to produce 39 points to win B Grade from Terry Lewis (38) and John Payne (35), 21 points enabled Manuel Pro to win the scratch.
A fantastic 40 points placed John Lennon at the head of the B Grade brigade, Paul Stirling and Kevin Arrow both shot 37 points to round out the minor placings while the scratch went to Ian Hart with 18 points.
Glyn Daunt possessed the luck of the Irish to come out on top of Thursday’s A Grade par event after tying with Peter Chaffey and Kerry Stait on plus one.
The subsequent count-back crowning him the champion golfer on the day.
Visitor James Walford was the scratch victor on minus two.
Jim Smail and Alan McCreery battled it out for the B Grade honour’s after both players posted plus three.
Smail was decreed the winner on a count-back. Ross Cowdroy was only one stroke back in third and the scratch went to Greg Campbell with minus ten.
McCreery teamed up with David Haley to fire (+ 11) to win the 2BBB by one shot over Daunt and Dean Oxley.
The pairing of Darryn Bruce and Darrell Bourke plus one were victorious in the scratch event.
Kel Cooke showed he was equally adept with a golf club as a hockey stick to fire 38 points to win Sunday’s Stableford event from Russ McCarthy and Brad Cooke who both had 37 points.
