In their path is last season’s grand finalists City Colts, who host at Loco Oval.
ORC captain Trent Fitzpatrick is looking forward to a tough opener.
“It will be hard game against last year’s grand finalists but with Blayney dropping out and there being only six teams it would only have been a matter of time til we played them. It may as well be now,” he said.
“From the sounds of things Loco has been the pick of the grounds as well so it should be good fun.
“We’ve had a couple of guys come on board this season though we haven’t seen too much of them yet. There will be a bit of trial and error to start off and a bit of experimenting to do.
“A lot of our second grade guys, who lost in the grand final last year, have stepped up.”
