Both Gary Tildesley and Horst Hesse achieved the uncommon feat and strangely enough, they both achieved the milestone on the eighth hole.
It was Tildesley’s second hole-in-one at the Bathurst Golf Club, with the last coming over two years ago.
That time, Tildesley managed the strike on the fifth hole.
“My partner hit the ball into the right hand bunker,” he said.
“I walked up and showed him how it was done.
“I’m quite happy [to get a hole-in-one].”
Tildesley’s shot was teed-off 127 metres away from the eighth hole, bouncing once before falling in.
The course was described as “immaculate”, with Tidesley saying the green keepers could not being doing a better job.
Tildesley has previously managed a hole-in-one at the Wentworth Falls and Dunheved golf clubs.
