More than 3000 people visited the garden over the days it was open for.
“Mayfield saw a packed out Wholesome café serving the produce grown on site in the garden, and our kiosk pumped out takeaway coffees, pizzas and local wine to relaxed punters,” marketing and events manager Meg McKenna said.
Patrons enjoyed being able to row boats across the lake, walk through the maze and generally experience the vast expanse of the garden.
Ms McKenna said the announcement that dogs were allowed in the garden was also a drawcard for people and many brought along their four-legged friends to join in the fun.
She said people also took advantage of Mayfield Garden’s courtesy bus, that dropped them off at popular attractions.
