The all Oz Music show kicks off from 1pm as we highlight new artists and many of our past favourites from the Australian music scene.
Mondays from 1.30pm has Mark Ryan providing a mix of various music styles, interesting pieces of information from the factual to bizarre, as well as regular interviews with local people from around our community varying from council information to local services and events.
Tuesdays has a relaxed afternoon feel as Susan Morris takes to the airways with a great mix of easy listening classics from many of the best adult contemporary artists of the past four decades in her Melody Road program, with this followed by the latest in movie news with Cinemascape at 3.30pm.
Wednesday is a mix of various country music styles with Tim Herbert and Mark Ryan from 1.30 through to 4pm, with the pair sharing alternate weeks, while Thursday has Ron mixing it up with blasts from the past all on vinyl, with feature bands and artists from our golden vinyl era, scratches, campfire classics and all. We are then kept informed on the fascinating world of national and international politics with the aptly named Never Talk Politics crew.
We round off the week with the motoring program Overdrive featuring road tests, news from around the globe of a motoring nature and some of the more weird and wonderful facts about vehicle designs, concepts and innovations.
Adam and Tad then give us some light-hearted and fascinating facts from the world of music, film and television with Cult Fiction and their knowledge of trivia from these areas is endless.
This is all followed each day by Beat Cafe through until 6pm with our young drive time teams.
Judy Rutherford, Marjuerite McKibbon and Roger Hargraves each Tuesday evening present a magnificent program celebrating classical music.
Also, the long-running Great Sounds of Music airs between 8 and 10pm each Tuesday and is a must for lovers of classical music. Our regular “Covers” segments during Jukebox on Saturday night and repeated each Thursday just after the 2pm news comes to an end this coming week.
The 26 week series has looked at a wide range of songs that often started as a small hit for the original artist but, once covered and slightly rearranged, turned into a monster hit. The final Covers airs this Saturday during Jukebox, with the series brought to you by Bathurst Batteries.
