Hosts Susan Lacey and Monica Morse speak with people from all walks of life on many interesting activities that make living in the Central West unique and interesting. It could be winemaking, historical facts and information, keeping your garden in tip top shape in our sometimes challenging climate or features on some of our smaller communities or festivals like the Elvis celebrations in Parkes or the Wattle Flat Bronze Thong.
There are some amazing people and stories out there and Susan and Monica do their best to bring you those stories through the people who are involved and have a passion for our community and what we do.
This week Susan is speaking with a group of garden designers about their development of new and older gardens, while in coming weeks there are pieces coming up on Historic Pubs in our region, the Bathurst Winter Festival, food of the region, horse racing and even the practice of growing, eating and the many uses garlic.
Cool Climate Living airs each Friday between 11am and noon with an encore airing on a Wednesday’s at the same time.
At 2MCE we are keen to hear what is happening in the community and our breakfast and morning music teams are always happy to try and fit in an interview with members of groups and organisations from across the region.
It could be anything from the local flower show to a sporting carnival, historically significant events to school or service club activities or a membership drive, to a protest about a development issue etc. Service, charity and all not for profit groups are encouraged to contact us.
If you want to get your message out there or are seeking support or promotion, simply call or email us and we will be happy to discuss arranging an interview time. Our number during business hours is 6338 4790 or email me direct at rlarsen@csu.edu.au
Sunday mornings are about cozy sleep ins, a nice cuppa with a muffin or toast and maybe some bacon and eggs sitting in a warm spot with the sun shining in if possible.
A great way to make that even better is by tuning in to 2MCE’s Ronnie Mac as he presents his long running Sunday morning music program from 9am to midday. Ronnie’s music and endearing personality is a great fit as he gets the day off to a relaxed start while you enjoy that late breakfast or brunch.
Ronnie in fact is having a short break for the next few weeks and Susan Morris will continue his smooth Sunday sounds in his absence.
