Ticket sales are approaching 1500, which is a substantial increase in comparison to sales figures this time last year according to Bathurst mayor Graeme Hanger.
“There is usually a surge in tickets sales in the days leading to the event in addition to a spike in ticket sales at the door on the day,” he said.
“The capacity of Carrington Park is 10,000 and it would be great result for Bathurst and the regional rugby league community if that number was reached.”
Council has invested in a number of upgrades to Carrington Park since last year’s NRL fixture, including the installation of new lighting, a new amenities block, a new LED display screen and a new on ground PA system.
