The Brock Commodore Owners Association of Australia has selected Bathurst for its annual get-together with the three-day event to be based at Rydges Mount Panorama.
The association has requested financial support for the event from Bathurst Regional Council, including venue hire and entry fees to the National Motor Racing Museum for a mayoral reception, the closure of Russell Street for a show ‘n’ shine on Saturday, October 14 and the opening and use of Pit Lane on Mount Panorama on Sunday, October 15.
Councillors were expected to approve the support, valued at around $2700, at Wednesday night’s monthly meeting.
A letter to council from Brocktober 2017 co-ordinator David Vears said it was expected around 60 cars and 130 members would be in Bathurst for the national event from October 13-15.
