That defeat – a 4-3 result in August, 2014 – is one of just four occasions that City has not managed to take full points against Zig Zag as the Bathurst outfit has consistently ranked as one of the competition’s heavyweights.
And not only has City enjoyed good success against Zig Zag, but frequently found the back of the net. A nil-all draw in 2011 is the only time City has failed to hit the mark against a Lithgow outfit which has conceded 68 times to its rival.
It is that impressive record City will be looking to build on this Saturday when meeting Zig Zag once again.
Both have played two games so far this season, with Zig Zag winless and City undefeated.
Saturday’s match will commence at 1pm on Saturday at Bob Roach Field before City backs up on Sunday at 2.30pm to play a deferred game against St Pat’s.
