TEN of Bathurst’s most talented juniors will pull on a Group 10 jumper this weekend as the under 15s and under 14s Southern Zone Country Championships are contested in Wollongong.

The under 15s outfit is dominated by St Pat’s talents with Tyler Colley, Charlie Ayoub, Blake Martin, Ashley Cosgrove, Jayden Fisher and Josh Hanrahan all making the squad, as did Bathurst Panthers’ Mitch Bonham.
In the under 14s outfit, Panthers duo Shannon MacKay and Thomas Large as well as Saint Josh Belfanti will be in action.
The teams will take on Illawarra in both age groups on Saturday, the winner progressing through to the semi-finals where a place in the southern final is up for grabs.
“Hopefully we can perform,” Group 10 Junior president Martin Power said.
“The under 15s have been hit by injury a bit, but we’re confident they’ll still do well.”
The successful southern sides in both age groups will go on to compete in the Country Championship finals against northern’s best at Cessnock on July 1.
