WHEN Kelsey Willott donned the lime green and white of the Bathurst women’s representative side at the open state championships, she was expecting it to be the only time she would not be in Bathurst City colours this season.

But now the talented striker is poised to wear the famous blue of a NSW representative as a member of the state country side.
“I had a year off hockey last year, I came back and didn’t think I was much of a hope to be honest,” she said.
“I didn’t even play Monday [at state titles], so to get selected was really good.”
Willott is not the only Bathurst City Premier League Hockey talent who impressed NSW Country selectors, goalkeeper Maddy Tattersall getting the nod as well.
“She played well that weekend, she played unreal, she really deserved it,” Willott said of her selection.
The Australian Country Championship will take place in Townsville from August 11-19.
