After suffering its first loss of the Central West AFL season last weekend, this Saturday the Bathurst Bushrangers Rebels will be looking to once more display its premiership credentials.
One poor quarter against club-mates the Outlaws cost the Rebels, but co-coach Steve Grundy knows his side will learn from that.
He also knows it will make the side more determined to put in a strong showing when hosting the Cowra Blues at George Park 2 this Saturday.
“It is not ideal to lose, but we knew the day would come. We’d rather it be then than on grand final day,” Grundy said.
“We’ve got four games to go now, hopefully that loss takes the complacency out of us and we can refocus.”
When meeting Cowra earlier this season, Rebels posted a convincing 28-22-190 to 6-2-38 win.
Since then the winless Blues have continued to struggle, while Rebels lead the competition. Opening bounce is at noon.
