City Chic specialises in “bold, sexy, glam and chic fashion” for women size 14 to 24, Bathurst store manager Kerrie Milton said.
The store opened late last week, and since then she said staff have received a very positive response from shoppers.
“This is for plus-size girls who want to dress classy, sexy and bold,” Ms Milton said.
“We specialise in formal dresses, we’ve got lots of casual ware and the jeans are absolutely amazing.”
Unlike some other City Chic stores, the Bathurst outlet is, and will always be, a sale outlet.
“One of our formal dresses was $180 and it’s on the shelf for $50. Some are even $30,” Ms Milton said.
The outlet’s lingerie section has also been a huge hit with shoppers.

“There’s lots of colour, lots of fun, very bold, sassy.”
Six staff work at the new store and it is open seven days-a-week.
City Chic is located within the Rivers store on Howick Street, both stores are owned by the Speciality Fashion Group.
