Town water will be cut off between 6am and 4pm, impacting homes in Delaware Crescent, Huaba Close, Windemere Road, McLennan Close, Denver Place and Cherry Lane.
Mayor Graeme Hanger said the trial water main shutdown was in preparation for extensive works at the reservoir and iwa planned to minimise future disruptions to residents.
“I would like to remind residents that all homes [in Robin Hill] need to have a 20,000L drink water tank and pressure pump, which must be connected to your house at all times,” he said.
“Please check these systems are maintained and serviceable prior to Tuesday’s water main shutdown.”
Council warned that some residents might experience water discolouration when supply is restored.
If the water is milky white, residents should flush the affected tap for a few minutes.
If the water is black or brown, residents should turn on the nearest and furthermost tap from their water meter until it clears, which usually takes five to 10 minutes.
