The major cities will be the first to benefit from the new service but a spokesperson for McDonald’s indicated region centres would also be considered.
Currently McDonald’s is utilising the UberEATS service to home deliver in major cities including Sydney and Melbourne, while McDelivery also started in Canberra on Wednesday.
But in response to an inquiry from the Western Advocate about plans for home delivery in Bathurst, a McDonald’s spokesperson offered only a glimmer of hope.
“We are working closely with UberEATS and will look to launch in cities where they currently operate,” the spokesperson said.
“We will be announcing additional locations where our customers will be able to access delivery very soon.”
That’s not a no, but it might still be some time before Ronald McDonald is ringing your doorbell.
