The forum will be held this Thursday, August 24 at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre and will be chaired by Bathurst Combined Pensioners and Superannuants Association president John Hollis.
Though it will be chaired by Mr Hollis, it will not be held under the umbrella of the CPSA or any local organisation.
Mr Hollis said the forum will be open to all members of the community.
“It will give them the opportunity to meet the prospective councillors and hear their vision for the future of Bathurst and also for the prospective councillors to introduce themselves to the community,” he said.
He said candidates will be given three minutes to talk and he hopes there will be time at the end of the forum for questions from the audience.
The forum will begin at 9.30am.
