Talented dancers came from as far as Guyra, Nyngan, Wagga Wagga, Canberra, Ulladulla, Coffs Harbour and the Sydney region for the ball at Panthers Bathurst.
“We even had elite dancers from Victoria who travelled up to attend our ball, as well as from around the local area and many places in between,” Keith Francis of the Bathurst Old Time Nu-Vogue group said.
“The guests were seated to a two-course dinner and afterwards everyone danced to the wonderful music of Phil and Esther from Parkes.
“Our theme for this year’s ball was black and white and it was wonderful to see that so many dancers dressed to that theme.”
On the Sunday, he said, guests who stayed over in the city were “treated to a very casual after ball dance catching up with friends and enjoying another swing around the floor with music supplied by Barry’s Country Vogue from Cowra”.
The dance group has started planning for next year’s ball, which will be held on August 25, 2018.
Keith and Jenny Francis conduct social dancing at the Bathurst RSL Club every Sunday and Thursday night.
