Saturday, September 16
Macquarie Care Centre Auxiliary fete will be held at the centre on the corner of Russell Street and Gormans Hill Road from 9am to 1pm. There will be stalls selling home-made cakes, sweets, plants and tasty food, Devonshire teas and a barbecue.
Launch into spring by visiting the Bathurst Artisan Market from 9am-1pm in the Bathurst Library forecourt. Many of your favourite stall-holders will be returning and there will be some incredible new ones. Grab a coffee at a local cafe or try out the markets' very own chai tea stall and enjoy the beautiful music from Smith and Jones.
Sunday, September 17
Mini steam trains will be running across from the Adventure Playground in Durham Street from 11am-3pm. Covered shoes must be worn. Tickets: $2. Call 6331 5798.
Art In The Park will be held on River Road and Stephen's Lane from 2-4pm. Free. Bring your own art materials. Call Rachel, 0428 311 534.
The Bathurst Edgell Jog will be run from 10.30am. Everyone from walkers to runners is welcome to take part.
Coming Up
A team of local therapists, teachers and organisations invites Bathurst families with children aged birth to five to join in the fun and friendship at the It Takes a Village session at the Macquarie River Bicentennial Park from 10.30am-noon on Tuesday, October 3. Children can play and learn while parents engage and network together. The services will collaborate with parents to share ideas, brainstorm solutions and link parents with the right services in the community.
