Parade, use to love nothing more then eating both green and red frogs as a child, so much so she use to buy them bulk at the corner store, and was very excited to hear the news.
Wanting to share the love, she excitedly told other members of the family including her teenage son.
When she told him of the news, he just looked at her and said “what’s a green frog?”
Clearly, he has a lot to learn!
But the good news is it won’t be long, and he can see for himself what a green frog is!
Word has it they, along with green, orange and yellow frogs will be hitting the shelves at Coles and IGA this week.
Parade can’t wait!
Road works done just in time
Parade, who usually uses Esrom Street on the school drop off, has been observing the roadworks underway over the last couple of weeks.
On Friday she saw the council crews still working hard at it, and wondered if they would finish in time for the Sunday’s Edgell Jog.
But finish they did, and everything was ready to go for the runners come Sunday morning. A good job well done.
Edgell Jog success
What an amazing event Sunday’s Edgell Jog was. Perfect weather conditions saw crowds flocking to the event, which must have been a welcome relief for organisers, after the heavy rain that fell last year.
Still, last year’s weather didn’t put anyone off, and there were runners and walkers of all ages and talents ready to go when the buzzer went off.
As a city we are so fortunate to have the band of volunteers who bring this event to the city, and from everyone who participated thanks so much for organising it and bringing it to us.
Parade can’t wait til next years event, and if she’s off work, plans to be part of the fun.
