Grives’ My Lucky Belle has a start from gate eight. Turnbull’s two hopes, My Bettor Bella and Miss Vera Mac, sandwich Grives’ runner at the gates.
My Lucky Belle finished fifth in her previous Princess Stakes attempt while Miss Vera Mac is seeking a big improvement after finishing last in the same race.
My Better Bella comes into the race of a Country Series Final win.
Meanwhile, Bathurst owners Ryan and Tracey Grives line up an in-form Ameretto in one of Australia’s major Group 1 events on Saturday.
Ameretto, formerly trained by Ashlee Grives, is chasing her seventh straight career win when she takes on a classy field in the $200,000 Victoria Cup (2,240m) at Melton.
Ameretto, now trained by Kerryn Manning, gets an ideal start out of gate two.
