A clean up operation took place, and traffic has returned to normal in the area.
The highway was closed at William Street, with an eastbound turning lane also closed, following the crash around 5am.
Emergency services and traffic crews were on site to clear the area in time for the morning commute to work. All vehicles were diverted around the crash site until lanes were opened around 7.30am.
