The Fish River Festival, which will be held on the O’Connell Hotel’s riverside green, will be the major fundraiser for the year for the O’Connell Public School.
Organisers say the riverside green will come alive with markets, raffles, an all-day barbecue, an art show from O’Connell Public School students and the usual pub fare.
Live music all day will also be a feature.
Artists will include well-known Bathurst duo Smith and Jones, Drew McAlister, Casey McFarlane, Oconic, Lueth Ajak, Crimson Royale, The Safety of Life at Sea and more.
Organisers say the event is also an opportunity for local artists, such as the school’s rock band Occa Rockers, to perform on stage to a large crowd.
The 2017 Fish River Festival will be held this Sunday, December 10 from 11am-7pm on the O’Connell Hotel riverside green, O’Connell.
