The well-known music duo are familiar faces on the music scene across the Central West, especially since the release of their debut album Dark Gives Way in March.
Smith & Jones’ first two singles, Baby Blue and Small Town Woman, both hit number one on the Australian Country Radio charts earlier this year.
And their troupe of dedicated fans are hopeful the next single, Your Achin’ Heart, will do just as well.

Abby Smith and Sophie Jones, of Smith & Jones, were keen to film the single in their home town of Bathurst.
The shoot was conducted by Love Hz Studios, and filming took place at locations across the city, with The Hub cafe and Jack Duggans Irish Pub among some of the sets.
The duo put a call out on their Facebook page earlier in the week for people to come along and be part of the final scene, that was filmed in Duggans, and more than 100 turned up to be a part of it.
Ms Smith writes all the duo’s songs and said the story told in each one can take some time to create.
“That’s why it’s important to represent our songs and our stories the correct way.” she said.
Your Achin’ Heart was the first song Ms Smith wrote for Smith & Jones, and the song remains very close to her heart.
“It started off as a ballad,” she said.
It sounds very upbeat, but when you listen to the story it’s actually quite sad.

“It’s about a man who broke up with a long-time partner and he’s in a town he doesn’t know and he’s feeling disconnected and invisible.”
Ms Jones said the other story that will be told in the video clip will be Smith & Jones “doing our thing and getting ready for our gig”.
“It sounds very upbeat, but when you listen to the story it’s actually quite sad,” she said of Your Achin’ Heart.
“In the last scene, the main character walks into a pub to hear Smith & Jones are playing.”
Ms Jones and Ms Smith said they were keen to film the video and have their new single releases in time for the Tamworth Country Music Festival which runs from January 19-28.
Love Hz Studios’ Michael Carpenter was the producer for the Your Achin’ Heart video and also came to Bathurst to film Smith & Jones’ previous two singles.
