Dean and the boys in blue got off to a winning start on Friday with a dominant performance at home against the Sydney Thunder.
Strikers set the Thunder a target of 164 before rolling their opponents for just 110 runs.
Dean, batting at number seven, made a brief appearance at the crease for the Strikers but he made the most of his time there.
In back-to-back balls Dean fired off a four and a six over mid-wicket off the bowling of Andrew Fekete.
Dean finished with 12 runs off six deliveries.
The Strikers now travel to face a Sixers team who will be hurting following a heavy defeat to the Perth Scorchers on Saturday.
Strikers’ last match of the year will be a home fixture against the Heat on New Year’s Eve.
