Trained by Chris Frisby and driven by his son Anthony, the red hot $1.60 favourite finished a comfortable 28.80 metres ahead of second placed Lockton Luck ($11.40) and third place Koloura Flight ($45.10).
His mile rate of 1:55.3 beat the old record of 1:55.8, set by New Zealand horse The Matrix in February, 2015.
Anthony Frisby said in late December that he is hoping to score an invite to the $200,000 Chariots of Fire and the four-year-old brown gelding has now put his best hoof forward after winning his past three starts.
Our Uncle Sam settled towards the tail end of the pack for the first lap, before making his run up the field in the second lap.
It was an impressive run and had the pack beat with just under half a lap to go and cruised home to a comfortable win.
What A Curtainraiser retired from the race.
