The club has school holiday programs running every weekday throughout January to give school-aged children something fun to enjoy over their break.
School holidays activities coordinator Katrina Harrison said she likes to provide a variety of activities to suit the different interests of Bathurst children.
In addition to physical activity, the PCYC offers things like board game sessions, puzzles, arts and crafts, trivia and cooking.
“There are some kids who wouldn’t want to be active all the time,” Ms Harrision said.
Over the years the PCYC has offered holiday activities, the club has seen an increase in people using the service.
Ms Harrison said it was a good sign that children were having fun.
“It just shows that people want to send their children here,” she said.
“When I started about two years ago, 30 children would be a big day, but now we’re seeing 70 in a day, so we’re really happy with how much it has grown.”
The PCYC offers morning and afternoon sessions daily.
