Sales are tracking above the 2017 numbers and Bathurst 12 Hour track commentator Richard Craill is encouraging people to snap up tickets, especially the grandstand ones, as they are expected to sell quickly.
“We’re confident we will build on the 40,364 people who attended the event last year – already a record crowd for the Bathurst 12 Hour,” he said.
Mr Craill said the 12 Hour had invested in off-track events significantly.
“There is more to do around the precinct than ever before, including a Manufacturers’ Walk area of stunning cars from our key manufacturers, a rooftop bar on the pit building and, new for this year, a bar to be located at the top of Mount Panorama,” he said.
“On-track, the action speaks for itself with amazing cars and some of the best drivers from Australia and around the world.”
The 12 Hour has grown significantly in recent years, including attracting top profile domestic and international drivers.
Mr Craill said those wanting to buy tickets shouldn’t delay.
“We’re encouraging people to purchase their tickets online as it is not only easier, but more affordable than purchasing at the gate,” he said.
“There are still grandstand seats remaining in both our covered and uncovered grandstands on Pit Straight. They’re great seats, right in front of the action on Pit Straight and in Pit Lane.
“It’s $40 for a general admission ticket on Sunday, which includes access to the paddock area, which is great value.”
Last year, more than 2000 campsites were sold for the four-day event and current numbers indicate sales will track above last year’s figure.
McPhillamy Park and paddock campgrounds sold out in November last year, while space still remains at the Reid and Sulman campground and Tent City ‘glamping’ areas on top of the Mount.
Fans can still purchase campsite tickets online.
The Bathurst 12 Hour will run from February 2 to 4.
