There was no missing the annual Bathurst Street and Custom Motorcycle Show roared into town on Saturday morning.
Hundreds of motorcycles, and motorcycle enthusiasts, flocked to the CBD to check out the display just outside Bathurst Court House.
Many motorcyclists could be spotted checking out what was on display, and maybe even dreaming of a new set of wheels.
Parade has also heard that there were a few people there whose dream to own a bike had not yet come to fruition.
Either way, what a great community event it was – filled with lots to look at, eat and great music to listen to while sitting in the shade in Kings Parade.
Parade for one will definitely be back again next year to check out the bikes and dream of long, country roads atop of a motorbike.
Summer, don’t go away too quickly
IT’S coming to that time of year where Parade is dreading the end of summer.
The days are already becoming shorter, and while the weather is still hot now, it won’t be all that long until we’re shivering again.
There is something about summer that brings a smile to Parade’s face and a bounce to her step.
Long, hot days and clear blue skies mean hours after work that we can still be outdoors, have a barbecue or go for a walk.
There is only another 10 days until autumn is upon us and Parade has already noticed some of the leaves starting to turn in Machattie Park and along Howick Street.
It won’t be long at all until our Facebook news feeds are filled with colourful autumn photos.
Rain could be on way for the city
SPEAKING of weather, we may just get a few drops of rain this coming week.
Weatherzone predict a 50 per cent chance of up to 5mm of rain on Monday, with an 80 per cent chance of a few more drops on Saturday.
So far this month we have received 115.2 millimetres of rain in Bathurst.
