The Tarana Hotel’s Easter Monday dog trials drew a big crowd with people flocking from across the region to catch the action.
“We had 47 dogs entered which was really great,” organiser Peter Moore said.
“It was a great day out, it’s the overall family atmosphere and the vibe that brings people in.”
Mr Moore said the dog trials, which have been running for the past eight years, continue to attract a wide range of competitors and people to watch.

“We had people from everywhere. They’ve come from Sydney and all over the Central West.”
Mr Tarana Hotel said the pub’s bistro was so busy on the day that it “all but ran out of food”.
“They’ve come for the dog trials, but they’ve also come to take a look,” he said.
Mr Moore said the day’s trials and raffles may have been a lot of fun, but they also raised $1337 for the Muriel Stevens Memorial Community Chest.
“It’s a great charity for people who need a bit of support or can’t look after themselves,” he said.
“All money raised on the day will go to the charity.”
The raffles included beer donated by Tooheys and cash from Bowyer and Livermore.
