The many games and rides at any show are a major draw card and the 150th Royal Bathurst Show will not disappoint the eager crowd. For younger enthusiasts favourites such as jumping castles and slides, the cup and saucers and the ever popular dodgem cars will provide hours of entertainment.
For those who are older or looking for a thrill, rides like the Cha Cha, the Rockstar and the Freestyle promise a wild, fun filled ride.
Don’t to try your hand at one of the games and score yourself a prize. Whether it’s popping balloons or feeding clowns to knocking down ducks or shooting some hoops, it’s a great challenge and can result in having to make room in the car for some rather large stuffed animals.
Show bags are always a highlight at the show with their mix of lollies, toys and memorabilia a popular purchase. From cartoon bags for the kids through to delicious treats treats for the adults, everyone has their favourite.
Darrell Lea bags have been available at shows for over 55 years and are always heavily in demand. Joe Jonoski has been selling show bags on the circuit for 16 years and has loved being involved with shows for over 20 years.
Rides and the show bags are still one of the main attractions at any show, they’re as popular as ever
- Joe Jonoski
The Darrell Lea bags are always a crowd pleaser with the rocky road and liquorice bags flying off the shelf, however Joe said the ‘Pig Out’ is the best seller. “It has a mix of chocolate, peanut brittle, rocky road, orange balls and candy. It’s certainly enough to keep you going for a while,” he said.
So grab a show bag snack, some fairy floss or a dagwood dog to keep those energy levels up for a great day out.
