ANIMAL enthusiasts, pet owners and those seeking an additional family member are invited to the annual Bathurst Pet Expo on Saturday morning.

And participants are urged to bring their own four-legged friend to join in the fun.
There will be stalls, a free sausage sizzle and some special fluffy feline visitors from the Bathurst small animal pound.
Mayor Graeme Hanger said the expo was a fun day out for the whole family.
“The event is a wonderful way to promote responsible pet ownership and to celebrate the love for animals and pets within our community,” Cr Hanger he said.
The pet expo will feature local pet-based businesses and organisations to showcase their products and services.
The guest speaker is animal behaviourist and author of the Pet Problems Solved series of books, Dr Joanne Righetti.
Dr Righetti is a leader in her field and champions many causes relating to animal welfare. She is an ambassador for the Animal Welfare League as well as Assistance Dogs Australia.
Dr Righetti has been the chairperson of the Delta Society and is a much sought after consultant and guest speaker. She currently co-hosts Talking Pets on Radio 2UE with Tim Webster every week.
The pet expo will run from 10am-1pm on Saturday, April 14 in the library/art gallery forecourt.
