Well, how about doing it all on a Tuesday night.
After a wildly successful debut in March, Mitchell Conservatorium is hoping for an even bigger crowd when PUBlic choir returns to The George Hotel tonight (Tuesday).
There are no sign-up fees and no pressure, just an opportunity to sing along to a classic hit and meet some new people.
The song of the month is revealed just 24 hours before each meeting, meaning it came too late for our publishing deadline, but it’s sure to be brilliant.
MitCon selected Beatles classic Hey Jude for the inaugural PUBlic Choir and Parade can’t wait to see what it will be this time.
It’s all on again from 7pm.
Great a bunch of mates and get there for a night to remember.
Some secrets of the cathedral
THE Catholic Cathedral of St Michael and St John is certainly one of the landmark buildings of the Bathurst CBD and is currently undergoing a major refurbishment and renovation.
But before that is completed the people of Bathurst are being given the rare chance to see some of the cathedral’s hidden treasures that are normally kept out of public view.
Guided tours on Sunday will explain some of the significant architectural features and explore the rich history of the faith that built this place of worship over the past 150 years.
It will cost you just a gold coin donation to take part and afternoon tea will be available at end of tour.
Book through the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre on 1800 68 1000.
Just 17 days to JT … and counting
IT’S hard to believe it’s just 17 days until the Penrith Panthers bring the NRL back to Bathurst, this time taking on the North Queensland Cowboys.
And that means just 17 days until we (hopefully) get to see Johnathan Thurston, one of the game’s greatest ever players, live in the flesh.
