The students edged home 30-29 over the Wombats following a late penalty goal and face a Rhinos side who came through round two with a similarly exciting success.
Dubbo will no doubt be confident as well after taking down the Blayney Rams 31-29.
Given CSU went down to the Rams in round one it means the students have to once again be on their toes for a tough trip to Dubbo.
CSU coach Luke Kelly said last weekend’s victory has done wonders for the team’s belief.
“That was one of the best wins I’ve ever been a part of. Confidence is sky high. It’s where we want it to be for the rest of the year,” he said.
“I like that the boys played rugby for 80 minutes. They didn’t go missing in the second half and reaped the rewards later in the game.
“We will always be aiming to get better with every week and we learned a lot from that game against Blayney.”
Both teams go into the game level on six points, courtesy of two bonus points from as many matches.
We just have to grind through this one week of holidays then everyone’s back.

It makes for a crucial clash despite it coming early in the season.
“I’ll assume they’ll be like the other teams we’ve played so far, with a strong forward pack and skilful backs. We’ll be expecting that level from them week in and week out,” Kelly said.
University holidays have once again taken its toll on the team’s numbers but Kelly said there’s plenty of players keen to put their hand up for this Saturday’s game.
“Uni holidays is a struggle but full credit to our boys for being committed,” he said.
“We just have to grind through this one week of holidays then everyone’s back for the next game.”
