On May 5, BoxGrove will host a cancer charity night labelled HOPE.
HOPE is a night filled with great food and drinks and live music, all in the name of raising funds directly for the Daffodil Cottage.
“Last year we raised money for the Cancer Council but now we’re going to put the money in a local charity and see the change it’ll make locally,” BoxGrove partner Ben Fry said.
“There’s been a great response from the Bathurst community and we’ve already raised $17,000 of our $30,000 target. We’ve had some great support from our partners.”
There’s still a handful tickets available, with over 200 people expected to attend the event at BoxGrove at 119 Duramana Road.
“We have some guest speakers, from Daffodil Cottage and the Cancer Council,” Mr Fry said.
“We’ll also have silent auctions, auctions, lucky door prizes and raffles on the night.”
At the inaugural HOPE event last year, BoxGrove managed to raise $7,800 for the Cancer Council.
If people who wish to attend but can’t make it to the night, they can make a donation online at www.hopebathurst.com.
Tickets are available at the previously mentioned website, at $90 per person.
Ticket includes transport out to the venue and back into town donated by Ian Redpath from Bathurst Adventures, finger food, grazing table and a complimentary drink on arrival.
Arrive at 5.30 for a 6pm start.
