Those attending the museum’s Mini Mammoth Ice Age Day will be able to meet an inflatable mini mammoth, see the Fizzics Education Liquid Nitrogen Show at 11am and 1pm, watch the Ice Age movie and enter the mammoth naming competition.
Entrants in the inflatable woolly mammoth naming competition will have the chance to win a Mini Mammoth prize pack.
Names can be suggested using a form during the exhibition or by emailing Somerville@bathurst.nsw.gov.au (with an explanation as to why the name was chosen).
The museum’s Mini Mammoth Ice Age Day will be held on Sunday, April 29.
A special entry rate of $10 for a family or $5 for an individual will include all activities in the family fun Ice Age Day as well as museum entry on April 29 from 10am to 2pm only.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Mini Mammoth will be on display at the Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum until the end of the Winter Festival on July 22.
