Behind the scenes, volunteers from various Bathurst community groups were stationed all over the event to ensure it ran smoothly.
Offering a lot of help throughout the day were members of the three Rotary clubs in Bathurst.
Steve Semmens, from the Rotary Club if Bathurst, brought his whole family to the B2B to assist.
Mr Semmens, his wife Sharyn and sons Max (17) and Ethan (12), were given the role of helping the thousands of riders re-hydrate after the massive race.
“We’ve been given the opportunity to hand out all the drink vouchers to all the riders after the race, which I think is one of the most important jobs because there’s over 2000 riders,” Mr Semmens said.
Other Rotary volunteers could be seen acting as marshals and manning the car park, among other roles.
Mr Semmens said he liked to bring his children along to help out as it encourages them to be more community minded.
“We want to teach them from very early on to give back to the community,” he said.
Aside from community group volunteers, the event was supported by local businesses, such as Aldente, The Hub and Two Heads Brewing.
They were there to offer delicious food to the riders after the event, as well as provide both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
