A dawn service and main service will be held at Bathurst’s war memorial carillon, one at the Broken Blade at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre, a sunset service at the cemetery and a retreat and lowering of the colours at the carillon.
Services will also be held at Rockley, Yetholme, Sofala and on Limekilns Road.
Bathurst RSL sub-branch president David Mills is encouraging people to come along to a service and commemorate the service of past and current veterans.
“The dawn service is an opportunity for people to privately commemorate and remember the sacrifice of a family member, friend or the service and sacrifice of past men and women,” he said.
“The 10.45am service is more of a cooperate commemoration but also celebrates those core values that came out of the Anzac legend.”
A youth band will participate in the main service march and The Scots School’s band will be supporting the veterans and family of veterans and service people.
