Letter | Khaki weed’s on the march, but does council care?

GREEN in summer and hard to spot, the sinister khaki weed has now matured and is shedding its little spikes over our footpaths and public areas around the CBD, thanks to Bathurst Regional Council parks and gardens inactivity.

Six years ago I tried to get permission to spray the corner of Keppel and William streets (free of charge) and they refused.

So this year I took a sample from the hospital park to show the spread. Yes, they said again, we are aware of the problem and have it under control.

Blind Freddy can see that nothing has been done.

It’s so unnecessary when it could have been prevented.
