For the Love of Disney will be hosted at the Bathurst Course House forecourt starting at 3pm this Saturday and people are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite Disney character to win fabulous prizes.
There will be 30 orchestra members and about 20 vocalists partaking in the event, with 15 to 20 items to be played.
Mitchell Conservatorium publicity officer Lauren Hagney said the event will cover classics from Sleeping Beauty, Frozen, Moana, The Little Mermaid, Enchanted, Brave, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Aladdin and Pirates of the Caribbean.
“Disney is an iconic part of many people’s early love of music,” she said.
“Children sing the songs from these movies well into their adult life and it seems fitting fitting that these beautifully orchestrated pieces of music will be played to such a large and diverse audience.”
Tickets are selling fast and are available at www.mitchellconservatorium.edu.au or at the gate and tickets are $10 for children and $15 for adults, while pre-toddlers get in for free.
Gates are set open at the court house forecourt 2pm, for a 3pm start.
