In their place, though, customers can pay $2 for an even bigger, stronger plastic shopping bag which will obviously take an even longer time to break down once it goes to landfill.
Why are we replacing flimsy free plastic bags which break down quicker with solid plastic bags which take even longer to break down?
Is this what is called caring for the environment?
