Already this year the McArdle x Sheng Li gelding has won the Smooth Satin, Oberon and Parish Cups on his home track at Bathurst as well as placing in the Temora Pacers Cup, Dubbo City Cup and Mayors Gold Cup.
On top of that, Parramatta’s only prior start at Cowra was a win in the feature Mothers Day Cup.
The Cowra Cup (2,520 metres) will be the seven-year-old’s 16th start this season and he will have to contend with a barrier 11 draw.
He has a better than 50 percent placing record over the distance, but Turnbull will face stiff opposition in the feature and much of it comes from his own family.
Sister Amanda (My Bettor Bella), brother Josh (Lockton Luck) and father Steve (Conviction and Cherry Mahoney) all have genuine claims in the race, which is set for 3.47pm.
