The new website, Everywhere Venues, was launched on Thursday at CeBIT Australia, the Asia Pacific's largest technology exhibition.
Everywhere Venues was an idea Appiwork came up with after noticing a gap in the market for online venue directors outside of metropolitan areas, business development manager Zoe Hida said.
“People often struggle to find out what resources are in their own town and even if they do, it’s hard to know how to book them,” she said.
Everywhere Venues is a sophisticated website that allows people to search, compare, book and pay for venues on demand.
It took more than a year to make and was made possible with the support of a Jobs for NSW Minimum Viable Product (MVP) grant.
Ms Hida said the website is a great way to make Bathurst people aware of the bookable spaces near them, but Appiwork sees the website’s reach going further than that.
“This eventually will be a global platform, like Uber and Airbnb,” she said.
If the launch at CeBIT, where Ms Hida was approached by three potential investors that included two from overseas, was anything to go by, the website has a successful future ahead.
