The charity co-ordinates the biannual book fair which was held at Bathurst Showground on the weekend, and the event has become a major fundraiser.
During the fair, hundreds of people came along to buy up some new reads and make donations.
Lifeline Central West executive officer Alex Ferguson said the weekend’s fair was the most successful in the event’s nine-year history.
Where will the money go?
DOMESTIC violence, addiction, depression, anxiety and financial problems cut to the heart of many people in society, but the team from Lifeline Central West say the weekend’s book fair will go a long way to help.
Mr Ferguson praised the community for its support of the fair and said all funds raised will stay in the local region and go to help with training additional telephone crisis supporters as well as support Lifeline’s ongoing training in the community with health care providers.
