A man has been arrested following the stabbing of a man at Wallerawang on Friday morning.

Chifley Police District officers were called to an address on Hume Avenue about 6am after receiving reports a man had been stabbed.
On arrival officers located a 38-year-old man suffering mulitiple stab wounds.
He was taken to Lithgow Hospital before being flown to Westmead Hospital where his condition is considered serious but not life-threatening.
A 27-year-old man was arrested on Hume Avuenue, not far from the scene, and taken to Lithgow police station.
He has been charged with wounding a person with attempt to cause grievous bodily harm.
The man was refused bail and will appear in Lithgow Local Court today.
